Women’s Wednesdays Launch In The Whistler Mountain Bike Park

Chicks Rip in the Park Wednesday Nights Starting July 20

WHISTLER, BC, July 12, 2005 – Whistler Blackcomb is proud to launch a fantastic evening for women in the Whistler Mountain Bike Park every Wednesday between 5pm and 8pm, starting July 20. Discounts on tickets and rentals, plus free guides for all ability levels are just some of the perks of this new weekly event for women.

“We want to see more women in the Bike Park, it’s that simple,” says Jeremy Roche, Whistler Blackcomb’s Manager of Business Development. “Women’s Wednesdays are geared towards women of all riding abilities. It’s a great way to check out the Park and get the help of an experienced guide.”

Women’s Wednesdays are the perfect opportunity for women to experience lift-accessed downhill riding with friends in a relaxed environment. Whether it’s the first time or the 100th time in the Park, the evenings will offer guided rides starting at 6pm followed by the ever-important après at the GLC from 8pm onwards.

Women’s Wednesdays Perks Include:

• Discounted Pricing - hit the park from 5 - 8pm with an Extended Play ticket, rental bike and gear for $49 (represents a savings of $90) or an Extended Play ticket for $19.
• Top-of the Line Rentals - rentals include a full suspension downhill bike, a full face helmet, pads, gloves and damage insurance.
• Top Whistler Blackcomb Bike Guides – available free for groups of all ability levels.
• $10 food voucher for the GLC.

To celebrate the launch of this weekly event, one lucky woman will walk away from the inaugural event on July 20 with an outstanding draw prize which includes: entry into a Spokeswomen Mountain Bike Camp, a Giro full face helmet, Dakine gloves and Dakine hydration pack.
