Other news
Leslie Tomlinson will not start today's road race, even though her name appears on the start list. Tomlinson leaves tomorrow for the 2005 Trans Alps Challenge and felt that she was better off taking the day off. in preparation to regain the title she held for 2 years (2003 and 2004). Tomlinson finished 2nd in 2004.
Although the CCA has not yet named the Elite team for Road Worlds, Genevieve Jeanson will be an automatic, by virtue of being the highest ranked Canadian woman in the current UCI rankings.
Three Junior's have also been selected to compete in the track events in Vienna:
Laurence Leroux (Quebec) - men's sprint
Eric Smith (Alberta) - men's endurance
Naomi Cooper (BC) - women's endurance
