Report from Road Nationals The Vets and Junior Women raced this morning (results not yet available) and the Junior Men will go off for 105km at 1:00 Pacific Time (4:00 Eastern).
The weather has cleared, the sun is shining and promises to remain so for the remainder of the weekend.
MTB Worlds Information Update
The Canadian Cycling Association has recently received confirmation from the UCI concerning the rider quota for the Downhill discipline at the World Masters Challenge, in Mont Ste-Anne, Quebec, September 14-20, 1998.
The host country will be permitted a quota of 16 riders per age category for both men and women, (30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50+) and not a quota of 40 riders as documented in the selection criteria of the '1998 National Team Program'.
Should additional information be required, please do not hesitate to contact the Canadian Cycling Association for clarification.
The CCA is accepting applications for support staff positions for the World Masters Challenge, Mt. Ste. Anne, September 12-17.
Positions are available for Team Managers and Mechanics. These positions will report to the National Team Manager and/or the CCA Director of National Racing programs.
Travel to Quebec City/Mt. Ste. Anne will be the responsibility of the support staff. Once on the race site, accommodation and meal allowance will be provided.
Any experienced or interested candidates are asked to forward a cover letter and resume to the CCA by August 30, 1998.
