Norco Performance Bikes, one of North America's leading producers of high quality mountain bikes, components, and clothing, is proud to announce that it will be the Official Bike Sponsor for the first ever North Shore Credit Union World Mtb Festival and Conference August 14-22, 2004.

"We have received a lot of support and interest in the event from all over, including the three North Shore municipalities and the GVRD," commented Richard Juryn, North Shore Credit Union World Mountain Bike Festival & Conference. "It's great to see the industry getting on board as well, helping to open dialogue and work on sustainability solutions."

"There are many pressures on the North Shore right now and no one can take anything for granted," says Peter Stace-Smith, PR/Marketing Manager Norco Performance Bikes, "Mountain biking is definitely here to stay so we have to get together and work out a plan that will not only keep our passion alive, but will also ensure that our kids and their kids will have a place to ride in the future."

Although the conference itself will be examining solutions for environmental, social and the economic sustainability of mountain biking on the North Shore, there will also be a whole host of festival activities planned around the family and those ready to rip. Having a weeklong conference, family-friendly events and Shore style racing is a great way to showcase to the world what mountain biking can contribute to any community that is willing to embrace what the sport has always offered-a healthy lifestyle, a great family activity and an opportunity to challenge yourself.
