Kona Supah-Kup-A-Soup Supah Kross Series - Nova Scotia
Courtesy Cyclesmith Dartmouth
The Kona Supah-Kup-A-Soup Supah Kross Series is an action packed short course steeplechase race on a bike. The action will kick off at 11:30 am, and will be held at Seaview Park Lookoff on the last Sunday in October (Oct 26th), and the following three Sundays in November (November 2nd, 9th and 16th) . Riders will ride and run for a total of 45 minutes (plus 1 lap) while maneuvering their machines over small strategically placed objects which force the riders to dismount and run small sections of the course.
So you don't have a cyclocross bike - well what better reason to get out there and buy one. These light and strong bikes look like road bikes, but with their wider tires, longer chainstays, and canti brakes these bikes accelerate and handle well in the mud.
Even if you decide against buying another bike, you can still come out and compete, all bikes are permitted. Please, no bar ends.
Categories include: Open Men, Open Women, and U16 (Need to be 15 yrs old or younger)
The cost is only $2 per race
Race Length - 45 minutes + 1 lap
Where? Seaview Park Lookoff (Upper Portion at end of Novalea Drive, overlooking the MacKay Bridge) Halifax, Nova Scotia.
