Jeanson Correction
Yesterday we published an update on the status of Genevieve Jeanson's situation, regarding the high hematocrit result she recorded at the Worlds, and her subsequent urine test (see October 21/03 1:00 pm EDT - Jeanson Update).
In this news item we explained the process for the urine test and how negative or positive results would be handled, however, there is one important step that was left out in the case of a negative result. If the results of the urine test are negative, Jeanson will still have to submit to a blood test to ensure that her hematocrit has fallen below the permisible limit of 47. Only when this requirement has been met will her licence be reinstated, under UCI Rule 13.1.086 . Thanks to Sean O'Donnell at the CCA for clarifying this.
