Burnt Bridge
The event promises to be a huge success. Close to 500 riders from BC, Yukon, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Washington, Oregon, and Great Britain have already pre-registered for the event, which takes place this weekend on Vancouver Island.
The battle for first place in the men and the women senior pro-elite races will be tough, with many of Canada‚s top pros in attendance (their last Canadian race before heading to Europe for the World Cup circuit). Results and stories will be posted here, on Daily News, and on Professional Competition web site over the weekend (www.pro-competition.com) to allow you to follow the action. Also coming up this weekend - Paris-Roubaix, so stay tuned.
FLY GURLZ A GO IN ONTARIO!
It is with great joy that I may announce to everyone that the First All-Female affiliated Mountain Bike Team/Club in Canada is beginning it's first riding and racing season in Ontario! My focus for the year is to create a support network for women of all ages and ability levels - from Cadet to Grand Master; from beginner to pro-elite; from recreational mountain biker to full-on racer. Throughout the season we will be holding clinics, group rides, night rides & will be attending races together each weekend.
We are proud that Squire John's of Collingwood and Rocky Mountain Bicycles will be joining us for our first season on the dirt! If you have any questions or comments do not hesitate to contact me directly via e-mail! See you on the trails!
