Ardrossan Stage Race Edmonton, Alberta - May 11-12

After a weather-induced hiatus of nearly 3 weeks, the Alberta road season resumed this past weekend with the Ardrossan Stage Race, held in and around Edmonton. The 129 racers present enjoyed decent snow-free weather. Racing was intense, with only small time gaps opening up over the course of Saturday's Time Trial and Criterium.
The race was the first selection event of the year for the Alberta Provincial team, which will be competing at the National Road Championships, Tour de l'Abitibi (junior men), and in events in Korea (junior men and women) in September.
Special thanks to organizer Rob Stirling and the Velocity Cycling Club for again hosting an excellent event..
