Ride to Survive for Cancer

Sportable bike shop in Ottawa will sponsor Paul Throop on his Ride To Survive. Paul is a 56 year old local cyclist who will ride around the world to raise money and awareness for cancer research and its survivors. He left Ottawa on March 4, 2002 for Japan where he will begin his 29,000 kilometre journey, visiting 18 countries in 20 months with a goal of raising $3 million dollars. He will arrive in Ottawa on July 1, 2003.

Help Wanted, summer 2002
New bike shop in Whistler looking for EXPERIENCED mechanic, for full time employment through the summer. Must have extensive knowledge of both road and mountain bikes. Job will start early May through to September. If the right candidate is found, we will consider keeping them on for the winter as we become a ski shop, specializing in bootfitting.
