Rochester Cyclocross, originally scheduled for September 26th and 27th, will be postponed until 2021 due to the continued impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. Full Moon Vista Bike & Sport, Monroe County and the City of Rochester are looking forward to welcoming the world's best cyclists back to New York State next year.
"In the interest of safety for the athletes, spectators and staff, we had no choice but to cancel for 2020," said Rochester Cyclocross executive director, Scott Page. "Hopefully the Covid-19 pandemic will be well behind us all in 2021 and we can get back to racing!"
Rochester Cyclocross was started in 2008 and has been a UCI Class 1 event since 2014. Past Rochester Cyclocross events have featured some of the world's top male and female racers. Not only American stars, but athletes from Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom have traveled to Rochester, N.Y. to compete.
Full Moon Vista Productions and the entire Rochester Cyclocross crew looks forward to welcoming the cycling world back to Rochester in 2021.
