Napa World Cup XC
We will be starting our coverage of Napa today with the time trial. Women start at 1:30 local time (4:30EDT) and the men after the women are finished.
The time trial is new for 2001. It will be used to establish the starting order for the race on Sunday. In the past the organizers have used the current UCI rankings. This new system will allow riders who are in good form and whose riding style is better suited to the course take a better position for the start.
Racing tomorrow starts at 10:30am for the women and the men at 2pm local time (the distance and lap count has not yet been determined). We will be doing lap by lap coverage.
