Cycling BC's iRide program is a dynamic in-school and after-school program de signed to inspire young riders and connect school and youth cycling groups throughout the province.
Cycling BC is currently seeking an energetic and professional seasonal head coach for the iRide program in the Lower Mainland. The iRide Head Coach is responsible for the effective delivery of the iRide Program while creating a safe and fun learning environment at in-school and after-school events with children aged 6-16. He/she will be required to transport bikes and equipment as well as facilitating the maintenance of the Lower Mainland bicycle fleet. Experience working with children, basic coaching education and a minimum Class 5 Driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
Position: iRide Head Coach – Lower Mainland
Contract Period: Full-time March 1st – October 31st
Hours : 5 days/week, 8:00 am – 4 :00 pm (typically)
Pay Rate : $20/hr, to a maximum of $170/day
Education/ Qualifications
• Community Cycling Initiation: Level 1
• High Five Certification
• Clean driving record with Class 5 driver's license required (Class 4 preferred)
• Proficient bicycle mechanic
• Fluent English Speaker Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Public speaking
• Proven ability to perform iRide skills
