IMBA Canada is pleased to announce the continued support of Subaru Canada throughout 2015 and 2016.
For 2015, IMBA Canada's official Subaru Outback will support the Trail Care Crew program, enabling the Crew to visit communities across Canada to teach the benefits and methods of sustainable trail design, construction, and maintenance to Parks Canada sites and member organizations.
"Subaru Canada and the Ontario Subaru Dealer Advertising Association are excited to continue our support as the official car of IMBA Canada and the Trail Care Crew," said Floyd Jones, Director Central Region, Subaru Canada, Inc. "We view the excellent work IMBA and the Crew do as an important component to promoting an active lifestyle, combined with a strong environmental message. Both key messages are part of our Subaru family core values."
Now in its sixth year, the Canadian partnership continues the legacy of IMBA USA's longstanding relationship with Subaru of America. Since 1997 the Subaru brand has been synonymous with the International Mountain Bicycling Association's wildly successful and award-winning, Trail Care Crew program. For 18 years, IMBA's traveling trail experts have toured North America in Subaru Outbacks, meeting with IMBA clubs, land manager partners, and the communities they serve to improve mountain biking opportunities.
"Lovingly referred to as our 'IMBA-rus', IMBA Canada's Subaru Outbacks have been more than a vehicle by which to deliver IMBA Trail Building Schools coast to coast; they have been home-base to our Crews - A place to work, drive, sleep and 'hang their hats' after a long day in the field," says IMBA Canada's Executive Director Lora Woolner. "We are so grateful to Subaru Canada for supporting our mission and programs, and the growth of trail opportunities across Canada."
