If you plan on covering track racing at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre in Milton for any media outlet and wish to be able to shoot trackside, then you need to get certified. Your opportunity to do so will be on Saturday, March 28th, at 2:00 pm - just before the Ontario Cup Track #2.
Rob Jones, with 9 major Games and 15 Track World Championships under his belt, has worked on behalf of the UCI as a photo manager, and will be conducting a brief course on track photography do's and don'ts. If you want to be included on the list of photographers who has the ability to work on the track apron, you need to attend this session. Contact Greg Rawson at greg.rawson@ontariocycling.org to sign up.
Note: While the session is open to all photographers, please note that actual apron access will be on a race-by-race basis, and dependent on the organizer. Apron access will always be restricted only to photographers working for media outlets, and they will require proof of assignment.
