The 2014 Manitoba cyclo-cross season was one to remember. Along with a fantastic eight race provincial season, Winnipeg also hosted the 2014 Shimano Canadian Cyclo-Cross Championships. Zach Peters was there to film it all, and he's now releasing a short documentary on the culture and sport of cyclo-cross called Sprocket and Chain.
"In the span of just 11 minutes, Peters manages to capture what makes cyclo-cross so fun, so positive and so addictive," says Ian Hall, a co-race director with the 2014 Canadian Cyclo-Cross Championships and a key member of the cyclo-cross community in Manitoba.
The video is narrated by four members of the cyclo-cross community, and shows off unique features of the Manitoba cyclo-cross scene.
"With racing action and thoughtful comments from novice and experienced riders, Sprocket and Chain will be of interest to those checking out the sport for the first time and will also speak to those who have had Cross running in their veins for years," says Hall.
The documentary has been released on YouTube, and you are invited to share this video through social media and on your website.
