September 29/14 18:14 pm - Free Advanced Risk Management Workshop for Leaders of National and Multi-Sport Organizations

Canadian sport organizations looking to build on the lessons learned since their first risk management workshop are encouraged to apply for this free risk management workshop. The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) is offering a one-day group workshop, designed by sport leaders for Canadian sport organizations.

The workshop will provide NSOs and MSOs with a platform to work with other NSO / MSO leaders to identify common risks, brainstorm solutions and continue to build on their capacity to manage risk more effectively.

Where: The Westin Ottawa, 11 Colonel By Drive, 4th floor in the Nova Scotia & Newfoundland room.

When: November 5, 2014, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cost: Free (lunch will be provided).

Following the workshop, there will be funding opportunities to apply for customized support for your risk management efforts. Working with an experienced consultant from the Sport Law and Strategy Group, participating NSOs will be provided with additional support to further integrate their risk management strategies. More information will be available at the workshop.

Since 2007, the CCES, in collaboration with Sport Law & Strategy Group, has delivered over 35 risk management workshops to NSOs and MSOs across Canada.

The workshop is part of the Risk Management Project which aims to enhance the effectiveness of decision-making among sport leaders using a consistent, sport-specific, and integrated risk management process. The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport would like to acknowledge the financial support of the Government of Canada for this project.
