The BMX Canada National Series will make its final stop this weekend in Milton, Ontario, at Track 2000 Milton BMX.  The track, located in Drumquin Park, will play hosts to riders from around Canada and the United States.  Riders from the Provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Quebec, and Ontario have all pre-registered for the event.  In addition riders from 22 different States throughout the United States have also pre-registered.  This BMX Canada National Series event will be the final national before the BMX Canada Grand National next month in Chilliwack, BC.

Action at Drumquin Park will get underway Friday at noon.  Practice takes place from noon until 3:30, with racing beginning at 4:00 PM.  Saturday racing starts at 11:30 AM and Sunday racing begins at 8:00 AM.  There is no charge for spectators and there will be non-stop action all day.

The BMX Canada National Series began in May and Milton will be the sixth stop of the tour.  Riders from throughout Canada are competing to become the BMX Canada National Champion.  Riders from throughout Canada take their five best scores from the series races and combine that with the Final to determine their overall ranking.  This weekend in Milton, riders will be able to obtain three (3) scores to count towards their overall standing.  In addition, riders will be competing for the "O Cup" in each age class.  The "O Cup" consists of the three (3) best scores from the two races held in Ontario this season.  The previous race was held in Kingston.

BMX Canada has seven (7) BMX tracks throughout Ontario and BMX racing is open to all ages.  The Strider class has riders as young as 18 months and the pedal bikes go through the 61 & over classes, with every age in between.  To find a BMX Canada track near you, visit bmxcanada.org.
