The first Gabriola Omnium is taking place on the beautiful Gulf Island of Gabriola on the weekend of August 16th. and 17th. Gabriola is one of the southern Gulf Islands and is very hilly - a perfect location for an exciting event.
It is a three stage race consisting of a prologue time trial, an evening criterium and a series of short, but tough, road races for each of three performance-based categories. These will be selected based on the times for the prologue. The event is open to all youth and masters riders holding a UCI licence or a BC citizens' permit. One day licences will be available at the registration.
Full details are included in the race technical guide .
Registration should be open soon.
