It is time once again for the Canadian National Road Championships, which begin tomorrow (Thursday) with the Individual Time Trial for Elite, Under 23 and Para, followed by the Road Races on Friday and Saturday, and concluding with the Criteriums plus Sprint Challenge on Sunday. Returning once again to Lac-Megantic, Quebec, the Nationals has very strong fields in all events, highlighted by the planned attendance of Orica-GreenEdge's Svein Tuft, a pink jersey wearer at this year's Giro d'Italia. Tuft is expected to contest both the ITT and Road Race. Also returning, after an extended absence from racing this season due to health issues, is Joelle Numainville (Optum Kelly Benefit Strategies). Note: It has just been announced that Numainville will NOT attend Nationals.
As always, Canadian Cyclist will be there to provide the results, reports, interviews, photos and, of course, live coverage. Now in our 18th consecutive year of live coverage, you can keep up-to-date with all the action via our dedicated Twitter feed: @CdnCyclistLive .
