M1 Sports Management is excited to announce that Robin Clegg, a three time Olympian (2002, 2006 & 2010), 15 time National Champion and member of Team Canada at 9-World Championships in the sport of Biathlon has joined M1 Sports Management - Pro Cycling to oversee the sponsorship efforts that will establish Canada's most prominent professional cycling team platform.

Robin brings an extensive background in fostering beneficial partnerships in the financial industry and will oversee the program's corporate partnerships and activation strategies. This will provide a valuable asset to the program.

Robin states: "Upon my retirement from the sport of Biathlon I developed a passion for cycling. I am excited about this opportunity where I can use my business background in a sport environment that will have a positive impact on Canadian cyclists." Currently Robin rides for Team H&R BLOCK, Canada's premier U23 development team, where his role is to mentor young athletes about what it takes to be an Olympian.

M1 Sports Management wants to ensure that the foundation of the management team has the right people in the right positions. Mark Ernsting, leading this project exclaims: "I was encouraged when I spoke with Robin about having him join the management team because of the corporate network that he brings to the table and his intuitive understanding of sponsorship activation. It was very important for me to find someone that understands how to develop, build and maintain sponsorship partnerships for the growth and long term success of the program."

The sport of cycling offers corporations the opportunity to enhance their current marketing strategies. Robin explains: "Cycling is a sport that allows a sponsor to customize all aspects of their involvement. This is not typical of most traditional sport sponsorship.
