Simon Lambert-Lemay (Garneau-Quebecor) won the second stage of the 37th season of Tuesdays Cyclists presented by Jean Coutu with a time of 1:00:53 on the 50 km circuit. He was closely followed by Stephen Keeping (Transport Lacombe) insecond and Elliott Doyle (Silber Pro Cycling Team) in third. There were some 125 riders on the start line of the pro-elite race, including Jacob Restall (Gold Coast CC) last week's winner but who did not even finish in the top 10 tonight. There were also two cyclists who ride for European-based WorldTour teams including Hugo Houle (AG2R La Mondiale) and Antoine Duchesne (Europcar) and "Frank the Tank" Parisien (Powerwatts) who rode for the Dutch-based Argos Shimano team in 2012.

"Anthony and Hugo were quite active," said Lambert-Lemay just after the finish. "I was afraid of these two, and of Elliot (Doyle)," said the champion of 2013. He also revealed his strategy of riding fast and earn points in all the intermediate sprints but to take a more relaxed pace between sprints . Lambert-Lemay made journalists laugh when he admitted to having "no idea" of how many stages he won at the Mardis Cyclistes during his career.

Lambert-Lemay now leads the overall standings for the series of ten stages with 241 cumulative points. He is followed by Keeping with 185 points and Restall with 151.

Among women, it was Adriane Provost (SAS-Mazda-Macogep) winning the 24km race followed by Audrey Bernard (Stevens the Cyclery) in second and Rosalie Cardin (SAS-Mazda-Macogep) in third.

Among the cadets (men), Gabriel Flag Zgoralski (CWB-Ultimate Bike) won with a time of 33:03 over the 24 km. Alexandre Langlois (VC Metropolitan Cycles) finished second, followed by Fynn Schooley (West of Quebec Wheelers) in third.

Among the minimes, Laurence Barriault (CWB-Ultimate Bike) won the girls' race while Antoine Dalterio (Hopes Laval Primeau Vélo) won boys' race.

The Mardis cyclistes are presented every Tuesday until August 12,the evening of the grand finale. The fame of this series of ten (10) steps racing bike has grown tremendously since its inception 37 years ago. The circuit is located around  Lasalle Park in the borough of Lachine. (Bus 90). The race for minime races begin at 17:30, followed by junior category and women (at 6 p.m.), and ending with the Pro-Elite Cup at 6:50.
