Team Trek - Red Truck is excited to watch newly signed rider Craig Richey represent Canada at the Cyclocross World Championships in Louisville, Kentucky, on February 3rd. Craig has been racing Cyclocross on an international level for three years and this will be his third time representing Canada at the World Championships.
We are pleased to have Craig join the Trek - Red Truck program for 2013 and hope he can share his top level race experience with the younger riders on the team.
Here is what Craig has to say about Worlds and the upcoming road season:
"With Cross Worlds being held in North America for the first ever this year, I passed on a trip to Europe and instead took a break over the holidays followed by an intensive training block to prepare for Worlds. This January I am fresher, healthier and hopefully faster than ever before.
"I am really happy to be a part of the Trek - Red Truck program. It is a well-run organization with a great sponsors, and they have assembled a solid group of young riders. As the oldest rider on the team, I look forward having a mentorship role; Hopefully I can teach the younger riders a few things and I expect to learn a lot from them as well. Hopefully we will win a few bike races in the process."
