Team Garneau-Quebecor has received its UCI Continental license.

Last year, Garneau-Quebecor was the best amateur cycling team in Canada and was named Team of the Year (Road) in the province of Quebec.  In 2013, Garneau-Quebecor will be the best pro cycling team in Canada.

During the 2012 season the team amassed an impressive total of 37 victories, thanks to exceptional performances from Bruno Langlois (19 wins) and Rémi Pelletier-Roy (15 wins). Bruno Langlois, who will act as Team Captain for the 2013 season, had his best season ever last year.

Garneau-Quebecor is a professional cycling development team enabling young cyclists to reach their ultimate goals, like David Veilleux (now with Europcar) and Hugo Houle (now with Ag2r), who are both alumni of the Garneau team in their early careers.

The success of Team Garneau-Quebecor is due in great part to its 14 sponsors: Quebecor, Nor-ton Rose, Cascades, Biscuits Leclerc, Shimano, Vittoria, PowerWatts, Couture Rochette & Associ-és, Federal Express, Delmar, Sports Experts, Deloitte and Aquafina.

The official presentation of the team will be held next Spring , in the presence of Mr. Pierre Karl Péladeau, President and CEO of Quebecor Inc.
