Velo Village is celebrating rural cycling on June 21-23. Salt Spring Island, located in the Strait of Georgia between Vancouver and Vancouver Island, will be bicycle heaven on earth - the most welcoming place on the planet to be on a bike.
There will be fun, games and a knowledge exchange. In addition to bicycle-themed performances, art exhibits, workshops, and a specially chartered bicycle-only ferry on June 23rd, Velo Village will host a one-day conference focused on cycling and rural mobility.
As an official Velo-City 2012 Global pre-conference event, Velo Village will be bending over backwards to welcome the European Cyclists' Federation (ECF), and other Velo-city conference delegates. Come early, and enjoy the natural beauty Vancouver and British Columbia has to offer. ECF Secretary General Dr. Bernhard Ensink is already familiar with Salt Spring Island.
