James Gammell, Michael Hunter, and Ian Boyd went to school at Watson's College in Edinburgh with Sir Chris Hoy and roomed together while studying at St Andrews University.  Yet none of them had ever been to see Hoy race live ("we've seen him race on television" they protested).  They have been to every evening session here for Track Worlds and have loved it (particularly the free shirts Cycling Victoria gave them all, and the beer...).  Gammell would like to declare he is willing to pay up to £2,000 to see Hoy race at London.
