Cycling BC is welcoming applications for the position of Director of Development. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this new full time benefited position will play a pivotal role in the success and growth of our all development initiatives. The Director of Development role is demanding, requiring a candidate who is highly organized and self motivated.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate for this position will be passionate about cycling in one or more disciplines or have an excellent multi-sport background. They will be equally comfortable providing leadership in a “coach the coach” role or working one on one in a “coach the athlete(s)” capacity. The ideal candidate will be an experienced coach who has previously instructed coach education programs for one or more sports and has experience in the development of sport pedagogy. They will also be passionate advocates for the principles of Long Term Athlete Development.

Cycling BC Youth Development Camp #1 – Abbotsford Indoor BMX December 3rd
Were kicking off the 2012 season early! Our first youth development camp hosted by Cycling BC will be on December 3rd at Abbotsford Indoor. The youth development camps are designed to help BC’s U12 athletes develops skills and tactics for racing BMX. The young athletes will be Coach by some for BC’s top Provincial team athletes.
As always all the Youth Development camps in the 2012 season will be flats only, as the focus of the camps are skill based. Having the athletes on flat pedals allows them to focus on the basic components to perform a skill.
Abbotsford Indoor BMX, December 3rd
U12 athletes – 1pm to 5:00pm
The Camp will be FREE for Youth Development Team athletes. There will be a limited number of open spots for athletes for a fee of $25.
