The sixth edition of the CanAmQue Challenge takes to the boards of the Forest City Velodrome on Saturday, November 26th. This event is the highlight of the year at the 138m indoor velodrome in London, Ontario. Just to make it to the 138 lap finale takes fitness, speed and the ability to know when to push hard.
In 2010, 53 riders started the Challenge, with the top 14 riders fighting through three rounds of Endurance races to qualify just to get the chance to race for all the marbles. Racers are in London, from the four States from south of the border (Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Jersey and Connecticut), as well as many top track riders from Quebec. The 2011 edition of the Challenge will see 30 riders from Ontario trying to make the very select 14 rider field. This event is the crown jewel on the Forest City Velodrome race schedule.
There is racing for all categories through out the evening with the main event starting at 9:15 pm.
The FCV youth racers, along with Elite Women, Cadets and Juniors will all have a tough night of racing. Only the best will survive.
All events start at 7:00 pm. Adult admission is $10.00, Seniors $5.00, with Kids always FREE.
