Sunday, the 30th of January 2011, come snow or shine, this planet's coolest thing on two wheels rolls through downtown Saskatoon.
Saskatoon Cycles and We Are Many (WAM) bring together Saskatoon's most beautiful vehicle and most beloved season. The result will be pure spoke-sparkling joy. Ice Cycle celebrates active transportation and the beauty of winter in Saskatoon. It's all part of the 2011 Potash WinterShines Festival.
Where: Farmer's Market, 414 Ave B South (Market and Food Vendors will be open)
When: Sunday, 30th of January
12 pm - winter cycling workshop
1 pm - bike parade

Last year's Ice Cycle drew 200 riders at 25 degrees cooler than crispened water. This year is well on the way to a bigger crowd yet. Come as you are or dress up with your most outlandish garb. Come alone or as a team. The route will be cleared and sanded and dedicated to bicycles.
Ice Cycle will draw a wide variety of riders, young and old, from couch potatoes to ironpersons, all are warmly welcome! Participating bike shops will offer discounts for riders on studded tires and other optional cool gear in the weeks coming up. Some will be doing minor repairs and tire-changes at the event. We'll have a transit bus/bike rack demo. Sign up now: www.icecycle.ca.
