Cycling BC is excited to announce the appointment of Jeff Ain as Provincial Junior Road and Track Coach. Ain will coordinate the road and track programs for 2011 with a focus on creating a pool of athletes to represent British Columbia for projects, including national championships and targeted international events.
"We're excited to have Jeff on board to help solidify our programs as the best in the country," said Cycling BC High Performance director Richard Wooles. "He brings a high level of enthusiasm in addition to an excellent track record of youth development in both road and track disciplines."
Ain has an extensive background with junior development in British Columbia, running the Vancouver-based dEVo Youth Road Cycling Club, as well as the Burnaby Velodrome Youth and Junior programs. He has also led various provincial and national-level junior projects including Pan Am Games, Track World Championships, and National Championships, where British Columbia ended a long medal drought in the men's road race.
