News from the Blizzard Bike Club in Fort St John BC
July 25th - Terry Stone Memorial TT
Kevin 'the Cannibal' Shaw added another trophy to his collection this weekend with a win in the Terry Stone Memorial 40 k Time Trial in Hudson’s Hope. He had a time of 1:06:02 hours for the tough, hilly circuit. Sandy McDonald won the Women’s with a 1:11:57.
Twenty riders and numerous supporters came together for this third year event, to celebrate the well respected and much liked Blizzard cyclist Terry Stone.
Other times were George Gamble second at 1:08:10, Bob Andrews third at 1:08:52, Two time past winner Pat Ferris 4th at 1:09:22 and Roger St. Jean 5th at 1:09:32.
Sandy McDonald had the 6th fastest overall time of 1:11:57, Gord Harris 1:12:47, Francis Plum (GP) 1:15:27, Ken Nix 1:15:32, Ryan Dumeresq 1:16:14, Darren Guliov 1:17:29, Dave McKnight 1:18:13, Owen Giebelhaus 1:21:04, Rob Scorey 1:21:48, Lisa Boda 1:26:00, Tucker Scorey 1:34:56, Richard Armitage 1:58:41 and Julie Armitage 1:59:41.
David Ferris did 40:28 and Bill Lindsay 57:20 for the 20 k event.

July 22nd - Baldonnel ITT
Stephen Ferris put in a very fast Baldonnel time of 22:55 minutes on a very windy night. There was a three way tie for second, which is extremely rare. Les Elliott, Pat Ferris and Bob Andrews all had a time of 36:49. George Gamble was only one second back in third at 26:50. Sandy McDonald was 4th at 27:08 and Gord Harris 5th at 29:14.

Other times were Ken Nix at 6th with 29:35, Owen Giebelhaus 30:03, Ryan Dumaresq 30:41and Adam Currie 33:21.
July 21st - MTB race #4
Pat Ferris won the Wednesday mountain bike race #4 with a time for the one ‘long lap’ of 26:21 minutes. Roger St. Jean was second at 28:34 and Adam Currie third at 34:25. Jolea Bilodeau was 4th at 34:25. Most of the riders took turns crashing and eating dirt, periodically.

Conditions were hot, dry and fast on the Cactus circuit.
