Cyclists from the Forest City Velodrome well represented at recent Pan-Am championships
London was well represented on the Canadian squad that recently competed in Mexico City during the Pan-American Championships.
Throughout the event, Canadian cyclists won a total of 10 medals, placing third in the medal standings.
Of the nine junior riders sent to the championships by the Canadian Cycling Association, two of them – Kristopher Ovsenek and Daniel McKenzie-Picot – practice out of London's Forest City Velodrome. The pair, who helped the men's team win bronze in the sprint event, was joined in Mexico City by Rob Good, the Velodrome president and head coach of the Canadian team.
