Yesterday we did our first kermesse after arriving just two days ago. The travel to our home for a couple weeks was easy. With quick stops in Montreal, over the ocean to Brussels, and a short train ride to the town of Oudenaarde, where we will call home.
Training Ride with Irish House Mate
On the same day as arrival we did a short spin the travel out of the legs ride along the canal. The next day we were up early from the jet lag and decided to head out for a ride before the day would heat up to around 30C. The highlight of the ride was a 20% climb on cobbles.

Yesterday we did a Kermesse (standard Belgian race). Luckily I could ride in the junior men's race because there was no women's race on this day.
There are general positive feelings from the group and we are all looking forward to more racing and training on the amazing roads that surround us. It is fortunate for us that we are here for another 16 days.
