Le Tour De Terra Cotta - Ontario
2010 marks the sixth anniversary of Le Tour de Terra Cotta, the only European Style Road race held in Ontario. Three events are held on the scenic and challenging nine kilometre course in the hills of the Niagara Escarpment. The event continues to gain popularity every year since inception as the number of racers and spectators grow - 600 riders are expected to participate this August. Although most participants come from the Golden Horseshoe, we have welcomed riders from across Canada and the United States, and as far as Italy. Created as a Citizen's Race based on the vision of one man, his community, his cycling club and sanctioned by the Ontario Cycling Association, Le Tour De Terra Cotta is known for its uniqueness and is fast becoming a must attend event.

The signature event, Le Tour de Terra Cotta Classic is 12 laps (108 kilometres) of Classic European Style Racing for licensed riders, or those who have purchased a one day license. All events offer an unique experience for riders and spectators alike.

It was started in 2005 by Ted Webb and the Terra Cotta Community Centre and is sanctioned by the Ontario Cycling Association. This year, proceeds from the event will go to The Terra Cotta Community Hall, a designated Caledon Heritage Building built in 1862, to help with its refurbishing scheduled to start in 2010.
