Position: Coaching Consultant
Job Description:
The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) is seeking to fill a Coaching Consultant position to assist in the development of multi-sport and sport-specific coaching programs leading to the transition of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) to a competency-based education and training approach.
Location: CAC office, Ottawa; some weekend travel is required

Coaching Consultant
Responsibilities:
Provide consultation to a group of national sport organizations to:
- Facilitate the development of curriculum materials, learning and evaluation methodologies, and learning facilitator and evaluator training
- Manage the financial support provided by CAC
- Act as resource person in communicating developments in coach education
Contribute to various aspects of the development of the NCCP multi-sport component as part of a team of expert consultants
Contribute to development projects as assigned
Collaborate with various stakeholders to determine coaches' needs and priorities, maintain and foster liaisons with stakeholders, including acting as a representative of CAC to outside organizations
Collaborate with the other members of the consulting team; serve on various committees related to the NCCP and the other activities of CAC
Qualifications:
A graduate degree in sports sciences, education, or administration (or equivalent)
Experience in the design and delivery of the NCCP
Excellent communication and facilitation skills
Professional experience in sport administration
Proven teamwork and problem-solving skills
The ability to communicate effectively in French and English is an strong asset
Experience with new technologies and e-learning platforms in education and training is an asset
This position is full-time permanent employment however; individuals eligible for secondments and/or sabbatical are encouraged to apply.
