CCA Looks for Track Coach

The CCA is searching for a track coach to lead the 2008/2009 national track season

The Canadian Cycling Association (CCA) is the recognized authority by the UCI (Union Cycliste International) on all aspects of cycling in Canada, including BMX, Cyclocross, Mountain Bike, Para-Cycling, Road and Track.

Job Description:
The Track Coach is responsible for the leading the 2008/2009 track season, in partnership with the Chief Technical Officer will be responsible to implement all aspects of the program with administrative support from the national office.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and knowledge in track cycling and the sport system at the domestic and international levels. The successful candidate will have the ability to evaluate, plan and oversee the program for the 2008/2009 season including World Cups and World Championships. Strong consultative, facilitation and decision-making skills are required. The ability to communicate in both official languages is a key asset.

The Track Coach will be required to work with the CCA's Chief Technical Officer in defining the program for the season, in alignment with the objectives of Road To Excellence funding requirements. The Track Coach will be required to follow CCA's NT policies. The contract does not require the individual to work from the national office. Contract start date is as soon as possible, with preference September 15th. The contract will include the opportunity for renewal following the close of the season.
