Cycling BC Announces 2008 BC CUP Mountain Bike Series

Cycling BC is pleased to announce the re - launch of the BC Cup Mountain Bike Series for 2008. With a twelve races in total making up the XC and DH circuit, the BC Cup series is a true provincial series with venues spanning from Vancouver Island to the Interior of BC. The series will also see racing taking place within the Lower Mainland, including Surrey, the Fraser Valley and for the first time, The Cardiac Classic Bike Fest, taking place at Burnaby Mountain.

Cycling BC expects that BC Cup race registration will fill up quickly, and with most races have field limits licensed racers are encouraged to register early to ensure entry and participation.

Cycling BC is the provincial governing body for the sport of cycling BC, representing a full range of cycling disciplines including Road, Track & Cyclo - cross, Mountain Biking and BMX.

#1 - Cow Trail Classic, Merrit: May 25
#2 - Junkyard Dog, Surrey: June 7
#3 - Race the Ranch, Kamloops: June 29
#4 - Cardiac Classic Bike Fest, Burnaby: July 13
#5 - Bear Mountain, Mission: July 19
#6 & FINALS - Mt. Washington: Aug 30/31

Downhill

#1 - Race the Ranch, Kamloops: May 18
#2 - Arduum Challenge, Mission: June 22
#3 - Mad Trapper, Panorama: June 29
#4 - Bear Mountain, Mission: July 20
#5 - Sun Peaks, Kamloops: August 24
#6 & FINALS - Mt. Washington: Aug 30/31
