The Blizzard Bike Club held its 25th Annual Awards Banquet, Friday night, at the Northern Grande Hotel. It was the celebration of the season's end and club trophy's and awards were given out to the various categories.
The highlights were Colter Young getting Å’Most Improved' and Gary Hilderman getting the 'Halfwheel' trophy for most spectacular crash.
President Hilda Bilodeau noted another highly successful season with three provincial medals, more Seniors Games medals and two riders with UCI Cyclo cross points.
Colter Young won the final Sunday cyclo cross race of the 2007 season with 6 laps in 40:42 minutes. Pat Ferris was second at 44:45, Bob Å’Animal' Andrews third 45:24, Gord 'The Hammer' Harris 4th at 45:32 and Roger St. Jean 5th at 46:39. All had six laps completed.
Richard Wood did 42:13 and Barb Polehoykie 42:55, both completed 5 laps. Dean Lowry did one lap and 'kept his lunch down'.
