Symmetrics Fuelled By Farmpure's Svein Tuft will be flying to Côme, Italy, this weekend to be officially awarded his 2007 UCI America Tour championship. Tuft will be travelling with the S-Team's manager, Kevin Field to Italy to partake in a special UCI gala that celebrates the end of the season for the 6 cycling circuits: ProTour, Africa Tour, Europe Tour, America Tour, Oceania Tour and the Asia Tour.
The trip will be a whirlwind for Tuft-he will head to Italy tomorrow, and return Sunday. At the gala, Tuft will receive his prize from the president of the UCI, Pat McQuaid.
"This weekend for Svein is the culmination of our best season yet, and a real milestone for both him, our team, and Canada," Kevin Cunningham, co-owner of Symmetrics Cycling said. "I am just so proud of Svein, of the guys, of this great season we've had. To have a Canadian-let alone one of our own riders-on top of the podium for all of North and South America is just so fantastic."
