Midweek Cycling Club Tuesday Night Cyclo-Cross Series
Every Tuesday October 17 to November 21 (except October 31) 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Ski Hill, Centennial Park, Etobicoke. For Students (Grades 5 to 12) and Adults.
This series will be a mix of skills clinics and practice cross racing under the lights of Centennial Park's ski hill. Novices and beginners are encouraged to test and try cross and experience the rush delivered by racing cyclo-cross. More experienced riders are invited to use the course to practice and hone their cross skills and techniques.
While not mandatory, Midweek would appreciate you pre-registering for the Youth Learn-to-Cross clinic on Oct 17th at www.ontariocycling.org. Adults are invited to the clinic as well.
Mountain, cyclo-cross or road bikes welcome. Helmets are required. Even though we will be under the lights of the ski hill, please add a light to your bike. Washrooms are available in the chalet.
Citizens Permits or UCI licences please. One-day's will be sold for first-timers.
At the Provincials on November 26th there will be School Challenge Races. Females and males, grades 5 & 6, 7 & 8, 9 & 10, 11 & 12 on a special 'Cross course. Participants are encouraged to represent their school; competing in school colours is not mandatory but encouraged.
Fees: Adults - $10 per session or $30 for season plus cost of applicable permit for adults
Youth - $5 per session or $10 for season (Made possible by the Ontario Cycling Association's Charitable Bingo Program)
One-day licence = $5/session, $15/season (Cost of Oct. 17's Youth One Day permit included in $5 fee)
Under 17 Citizen Permit = $25, Age 17 or 18 Citizen Permit = $35, Adult Citizen Permits = $40
