National Level MTB Commissaire Course

The CCA is coordinating a National Level MTB Commissaire course scheduled to take place in Vancouver, BC on - November 11-12, 2006. The course will be presented in English by Jim Bratrud, UCI Designated MTB Course Instructor and Loyal Ma UCI Designated BMX Course Instructor.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
To be eligible for this national course candidates must have met the criteria as listed in the 2006 CCA Officials Committee Policy document #5 (See attached copy). Candidates must hold a current UCI licence and be between the ages of 25 and 50 at the time of the course.
REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:
Eligible candidates must complete the attached application form and return to the CCA along with the registration fee.
Registration fee: $100.00
We require a minimum of 6 candidates to hold the course and registration will be capped at a maximum of 12 candidates. Registration forms will be accepted in the order that they are received.
The registration deadline is Friday October 27th. Candidates will receive confirmation as registrations are received.
COURSE SUMMARY: (Tentative outline - subject to change)
Candidates will be asked to arrive on the evening of November 10th for an informal get together at approximately 19h00; including a brief introduction and to receive any course materials.
* Saturday November 11th - All day (09h00 start) - Classroom session.
* Sunday November 12th - morning session - Classroom.
* Sunday November 12th - afternoon session - Oral & written exam.
* Sunday November 12th - Participants depart (Approximately 16h00).
* NOTE: Participants must complete a practical component for both XC and downhill at an approved National level event during the 2007 season.
ACCOMMODATION & TRAVEL:
Candidates are responsible for their own costs and arrangements associated with travel, accommodation and meals. The CCA is exploring the availability of affordable room rates at a local hotel. Please indicate on the registration form the dates accommodation would be required if interested in this option. The CCA will confirm availability and rates to participants.
