Neil Stephens Retires

Australian Pro Neil Stephens, winner of a Tour de France stage in 1997, has retired from racing. Stephens was a member of the Festina team that was removed from this year's Tour after allegations of systematic drug doping. Throughout the scandal, Stephens has maintained his innocence, stating that he has never knowingly taken performance enhancing banned substances. Stephens also stated that his retirement was not due to the drug scandal.
