Typically this time of year, cyclists across Ontario are gearing up for the first Ontario Cycling Association Road O-Cup of the season - the Good Friday Road Race. Unfortunately, as a result of the current COVID-19 global crisis, races have been cancelled for the foreseeable future and public health recommendations advise people to stay indoors as much as possible. In light of this, many cyclists have turned to Zwift to get in their training miles, training plans - and a little taste of racing online.
To help lift spirits and bring the Ontario cycling community together, Toronto Hustle is excited to host the 2020 edition of the Good Friday Road Race on Zwift!
The online event is open to all cyclists across Ontario and worldwide. While not an officially sanctioned OCA event and no points will be awarded, it will be a fun and competitive race over 52.4km of Zwift terrain and 1911ft (583m) of climbing. There will be multiple Zwift categories that riders will self select into, including a women’s only category.
Riders of all abilities are encouraged to come together on Good Friday to celebrate the power of sport and the strength of our community. Reg up on Zwift and see you on the start line!
Race Date: April 10, 2020
Start Time: 7pm EST
