Tip To Tip For Africa: Sat, October 10th, 2009 to Mon, October 12th, 2009

A three day biking adventure, “Tip to Tip for Africa 2009? will follow the Confederation Trail on Prince Edward Island. All meals and accommodation for the three days and two nights are included as well as great Island entertainment!

Tandem Bike Demo and Pilot Training on Monday, October 12th at 1:00-2:00 PM with a ride to follow on the Confederation Trail at 2pm.

Saturday October 10th

Ontario Elite Track Championships: The FCV welcomes Ontarios best track racers for the 2009 Ontario Track Championships. This event is for Elite Track Racers from Ontario. (out of Province racers welcome... however they can not win medals) 2nd year Juniors may also upgrade for this event. The Championship will be Omnium format with 5 races determining the Ontario Champion. Points race, Scratch Race, Flying lap, 3km Time trial & Kilo. Track will open for registration and warm-up at 11am with racing at 1pm. There will also be a stand alone Open Sprint Tournmament that everyone can enter. The top 24 times from the Flying lap will advance into the sprint rounds.Qualifying for the sprint tournament will begin after 6pm.

The Durham Cyclo-Cross Classic
Southern series format. Directions to Heber Down Conservation Area Exit 401 at Brock St. in Whitby. Take Taunton Rd. LEFT from Brock St. to Country Lane Rd. Go RIGHT on Country Lane Rd. and travel north to the main entrance. Enter through the main gate and follow the road to the day-use parking lot.
